Our Restaurant is more than a restaurant—it's one of Montreal's premier Mediterranean dining, nightlife, and event destinations. With multiple dining rooms, private event spaces, a vibrant bar program, and some of the city's most recognized weekly events, we're looking for an exceptional General Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This is not a traditional restaurant management position. We're looking for a true operator and leader who takes ownership of the business, develops people, drives profitability, and creates unforgettable guest experiences.

Responsibilities

As General Manager, you will oversee every aspect of the restaurant's daily operations, including:

• Lead, inspire, and develop a team of managers and more than 75 employees.
• Maintain exceptional standards of guest service and hospitality.
• Oversee all front-of-house operations while working closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen leadership.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, train, coach, and develop team members.
• Create schedules that maximize productivity while controlling labour costs.
• Monitor daily sales, labour, food cost, beverage cost, and overall profitability.
• Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve performance.
• Ensure compliance with MAPAQ, health and safety regulations, liquor licensing, and company policies.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure every issue is resolved promptly.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation throughout the restaurant.
• Work closely with ownership on special events, marketing initiatives, corporate functions, and business growth.
• Build a positive, accountable, and performance-driven culture.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of General Manager experience in a high-volume restaurant, supper club, luxury hospitality, or premium dining environment.
• Proven experience managing annual sales exceeding $5 million is considered a strong asset.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and retain top talent.
• Excellent understanding of restaurant financials, including P\&L, labour, food cost, beverage cost, and budgeting.
• Experience managing large teams in fast-paced environments.
• Exceptional communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure while making sound business decisions.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Bilingual (English \& French) is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with POS systems and restaurant management software.
• Strong knowledge of wine, cocktails, and premium beverage programs.
• Experience with private events, nightlife, and entertainment-driven concepts is highly valued.
• Proven success in increasing revenue and improving operational efficiency.
