Summary of the role and responsibilities

Under the authority of the head of the human resources service, the person holding this position receives and directs telephone calls, welcomes residents and visitors, provides general information, monitors screens, responds to employees according to the information at their disposal, transmits the received information to the concerned services, performs replacements, completes various clerical tasks and any other related task.

As an Administrative Agent – Reception, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Closely monitor the entry and exit of residents and visitors to ensure the safety of people and places.
  • Welcome and respond to requests from residents, families, and visitors at the reception or by phone.
  • Receive and distribute mail.
  • Perform various administrative tasks in the computer registers, photocopying, or others.
  • Provide support to the assignment service by performing replacements when required.
  • Manage the cash register.
  • Provide assistance in crisis and emergency situations.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of activities in support with the leisure service.
  • Communicate any relevant information to your team or your supervisor.
  • Accompany new employees.
  • Cover the absence of staff when the recall list is closed.
  • Any other related task.

Experience and Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Less than six months in similar tasks
  • Good skills with electronic devices and computer software
  • Software: Good knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Good knowledge and mastery of spoken and written French
  • Practical knowledge of spoken and written English (asset)
  • Ability to communicate and work in a team
  • Respectful and appreciative of older people;
