Electrician - Mine

Main Responsibilities:

The electrician (male/female) in the mine maintenance team is part of the mine maintenance service. He/She ensures the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical distribution networks, communication networks, and mining operation equipment.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical distribution networks and communication networks
• Maintain electrical equipment such as: fans, compressors, rock drills, mast drills, pumping systems, etc. Identify and resolve electrical issues
• Maintain winches in accordance with the CSST inspection register and associated procedures
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and plans
• Perform electrical system maintenance and keep records up-to-date
• Complete work orders and order materials
• Comply with and apply work, health and safety, environmental procedures, and ensure compliance with surrounding communities
• All tasks related to the performance of their duties

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Professional studies diploma in electricity
• Holder of a qualification certificate (license C outside construction)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance in the mining sector
• Knowledge of the SAP GMAO maintenance software and MS Office suite
• Hold a valid explosive permit
• Have completed mining modules 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7
• Bilingual, French and English (an asset)

Working Conditions

• Mining site Éléonore (fly-in, fly-out from Montreal, Chibougamau, Matagami, Rouyn-Noranda, Val D'Or, and Wemindji)
• Schedule: 14 days of work followed by 14 days of rest
• Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Compensation: Starting at $50.17 per hour
