Foster the delivery of an exceptional customer experience to Private Banking clients. Provide a high level of service that is courteous, well-informed, and professional to all current and potential clients by demonstrating a deep understanding of products. Recognize the appropriate moment to identify client needs and discuss them proactively, and collaborate with the branch and regional teams to spot and make client referrals. Ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to expand the client relationship.
- Assist in preparing new business proposals or presentations for current and potential clients.
- Determine client needs and match them to appropriate products or services using customized sales techniques, including making client referrals to other BMO employees.
- Act as a key resource for client service.
- Handle client issues and collaborate with others to resolve or escalate them according to guidelines.
- Serve as a liaison with clients' external advisors on behalf of the Account Director or Relationship Director.
- Identify and recommend alternative workflow processes that can lead to improved efficiency and service levels.
- Determine client needs and ensure that transaction processing is done in a timely and accurate manner.
- Take responsibility for client inquiries, concerns, and complaints, ensuring their timely resolution and making appropriate hierarchical escalations.
- Understand the unique needs of high-net-worth commercial entities and clients within Private Banking.
- Provide advice by applying a deep knowledge and understanding of integrated private banking offers and services.
- Maintain a precise knowledge and understanding of integrated private banking offers and services, as well as a precise understanding of the industry's strategic orientation.
- Support the implementation of strategic initiatives, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analyze data and information to provide ideas and recommendations.
- Take responsibility for overdraft reports and other monitoring reports; take appropriate actions and report any unresolved irregularities.
- Receive applicable fees for approved credit terms or account agreements, as well as for other activities performed.
- Implement and monitor changes to procedures and policies, as needed.
- Strive to exceed customer service standards to maximize relationship retention and growth.
- Build a connection with clients and inspire their trust, thereby establishing credibility and gaining their trust.
- Provide fast and accurate service and support to Account Directors; to this end, perform a wide range of credit-related and non-credit-related activities and related activities.
- Comply with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for banking services, investments, and credit approval, as well as legal and ethical requirements, process requirements, and Bank guidelines, and risk-related guidelines.
- Follow security and protection methods and demonstrate reasonable diligence in preventing losses related to fraud, counterfeiting, money laundering, or embezzlement, in accordance with the Bank's policy.
- Participate in assigned audits and compliance reviews.
- Identify all irregularities and anomalies and escalate them to management.
- Possibly focus on a specific industry or business group.
- Think creatively and propose new solutions.
- Exercise judgment to identify problems, determine their causes, and resolve them within established limits.

- Take measured risks while protecting the Bank by applying our risk management framework in the performance of your duties, in accordance with our risk management culture and our approved risk appetite, making risk-informed decisions that align with business strategy, protect assets, and comply with applicable policy documents (frameworks, policies, standards, procedures, and related documents), laws, and regulations.
Qualifications
- Generally three to five years of relevant professional experience with a post-secondary degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must meet the requirements for licenses and certifications for the team, branch, or territory for which the assignment is being executed.
- Practical knowledge of individual and business banking products and services, as well as operational process monitoring.
- Practical knowledge of the credit approval process and related policies.
- Practical knowledge of loan and guarantee-related documents, including the registration and renewal routine.
- Specialized knowledge acquired through education or work experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong influencing skills.
- Salary:
- $45,500.00 - $84,500.00

The above represents the range and type of compensation offered by BMO Financial Group.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the position and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time positions will be calculated on a prorated basis of the number of regularly worked hours. For commission-based roles, the aforementioned salary represents BMO Financial Group's target for the first year in the position.
The total compensation offered by BMO will vary based on the type of compensation associated with the position and may include performance bonuses, discretionary bonuses, as well as other benefits and rewards.
