The Housekeeping Supervisor assists the Director and Assistant Director of the Department in supervising and managing all aspects of the hotel's housekeeping operations, which include rooms, public spaces, the laundry, and the hotel's back-of-house areas, and the assigned staff. Responsible for the smooth operation of the department while adhering to the chain's standards. Pays particular attention to safety, security, and the protection of property.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and maintain the highest level of cleanliness in all hotel rooms and public spaces and apply the company's standards.
- Perform department openings and closings;
- Conduct room, corridor, and public area inspections and report deficiencies, making immediate corrections when necessary;
- Track daily priorities with room attendants and team members to ensure excellent customer service;
- Assist the management in managing routine cleaning plans to ensure that all furniture, fixtures, carpets, and floor coverings are maintained at the highest level.
- Control housekeeping procedures that promote the health and safety of all guests and staff, such as lost and found items, key controls, and safety and emergency procedures.
- Apply health and safety policies and procedures. Report and immediately, if possible, modify all health and safety hazards;
- Monitor all dangerous or questionable situations that could endanger guests, hotel staff, and react accordingly;
- Understand the department's budget to ensure good management of it;
- Participate in the inventory of room and public area supplies;
- Participate in uniform control;
- Participate in the inventory of bedding and towels and ensure their durable maintenance;
- Assist the Director and Assistant Director in managing certain aspects of human resources within the department, including recruitment, performance management, assigned tasks, team development, and training to maintain the required level of expertise to maintain the housekeeping program;
- Participate in management team meetings;
- Participate in departmental meetings with the Director;
- Understand, master, and respect the current collective agreement.
- Perform any other tasks related to the functions.
REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school or post-secondary diploma and 2 years of experience in housekeeping management or related professional field; OR
Diploma from a recognized college or university in the field of hotel management and 2 years of experience in housekeeping; AND
Experience in the hospitality industry or related field is desirable;
Experience in housekeeping is required.

- Capable of assimilating complex information from different sources and analyzing, adjusting, or modifying it according to specific constraints or needs;
- Have an aptitude for listening, understanding, and clarifying information and inquiries from colleagues, tenants, or customers;
- Have the ability to understand and analyze basic financial data (budget);
- Knowledge of basic computer software (MS Office ®, e-mail, internet, management database);
- Ability to occasionally lift loads of 10 to 25 pounds and/or ability to transport, push, pull, or move objects weighing 50 pounds frequently.
