Data Analyst

CGI is seeking a Data Analyst with strong expertise in pharmaceutical data analysis to support digital transformation and data monetization initiatives for clients in the life sciences sector.

As an advisor, you will closely collaborate with business teams, data architects, and technology teams to analyze existing solutions, understand business needs, document business rules, and contribute to the design of modern analytical solutions.

The ideal candidate possesses excellent knowledge of IQVIA data sets, a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, and a strong ability to transform complex information into clear, structured, and actionable documentation.

Roles and Responsibilities

You will be called upon to:

• Analyze information assets, business processes, and existing analytical solutions to identify improvement opportunities.
• Leverage your knowledge of IQVIA data sets to support initiatives related to sales, marketing, market access, medical affairs, and business intelligence.
• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from various stakeholders.
• Reverse-engineer existing solutions to document:
• business rules;
• calculations and key performance indicators (KPIs);
• data flows;
• data transformations;

integration processes (ETL/ELT).

• Produce high-quality functional and technical documentation, including functional specifications, data dictionaries, mappings, business rules, and process documentation.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, data governance, and business intelligence teams to design solutions that meet client needs.
• Participate in validation, quality assurance, and data reconciliation activities.
• Formulate recommendations to improve processes, data governance, and analytical capabilities.
• Contribute to data platform modernization, migration, and digital transformation projects.
• Present your analysis results and recommendations to technical and business audiences.

Qualifications for Success in this Role

• University degree in computer science, business intelligence, analytics, information systems, life sciences, or a related field.
• Excellent knowledge of data assets and IQVIA data sets.
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and its business processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent ability to synthesize complex information and produce clear, precise, and structured technical and functional documentation.
• Demonstrated experience in analyzing existing solutions and reverse-engineering business rules, calculations, indicators, transformations, and end-to-end data flows.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.

Assets

• Experience with the following technologies is a significant asset:
• Snowflake (strongly desired);
• Tableau;
• MicroStrategy;

SQL.

The following are also considered assets:

• Knowledge of data warehousing principles and data modeling.
• Experience in data migration projects, analytical platform modernization, or digital transformation.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

CGI offers a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, and professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions depend on the particulars of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is between $60,000 and $135,000. This position is vacant.
