Guidewire Solutions Architecture Advisor

About the Position

We are seeking a Senior Guidewire Solutions Architecture Advisor to support the evolution of technological solutions for a major insurance claims sector.

The selected candidate will act as a Guidewire reference for business and IT teams. They will be responsible for defining solution architectures, evaluating impacts and dependencies, guiding teams in detailed design, and ensuring proposed orientations comply with organizational standards.

The primary focus of the mandate is on support, advice, and cross-cutting Guidewire expertise. The client prefers a generalist profile capable of intervening across the entire Guidewire ecosystem, including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter, rather than a specialist limited to a single module.

Hybrid profiles with a strong business orientation, or Guidewire business analysts capable of challenging technical teams, may also be considered.

Technical Requirements and Skills

Main Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in solution architecture or a related role
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with the Guidewire suite
• Significant experience as a solution architect in a project context
• Strong mastery of:
• + Guidewire PolicyCenter
• + Guidewire ClaimCenter
• + Guidewire BillingCenter
• Knowledge of Guidewire APIs
• Proficiency in the Gosu language
• Experience with configuring PCF pages
• Experience in application integration:
• + API
• + Web Services
• + Event-driven architecture
• Experience with microservices architectures
• Knowledge of deployment models:
• + IaaS
• + PaaS
• + SaaS
• + CaaS
• Proficiency in one or more architecture frameworks
• Knowledge of the ArchiMate notation
• Ability to produce architecture deliverables
• Ability to evaluate solution costs, impacts, dependencies, and risks
• Excellent communication, synthesis, and dissemination skills
• Fluent French both orally and in writing
• Intermediate-advanced English

Main Responsibilities

• Define solution architectures that meet business needs
• Identify and document required functional capabilities
• Determine applications, services, and components involved in solutions
• Evaluate impacts related to coexistence, dependencies, performance, and security
• Produce solution architecture deliverables
• Document functional and non-functional requirements
• Develop necessary technological orientations for solution implementation
• Design and disseminate architectures using diagrams and models
• Guide teams in detailed design and solution integration
• Define transition, conversion, coexistence, and offloading strategies
• Ensure alignment between business and IT teams
• Challenge technical decisions, design choices, and proposed patterns
• Evaluate solution testability, observability, performance, coupling, and security
• Define and promote Guidewire Cloud development best practices
• Mentor developers and act as a reference for the Guidewire suite
• Ensure solutions comply with organizational standards and guidelines
• Present recommendations to various audiences, including business teams, managers, and delivery teams
• Escalate critical issues as required
