About the position

As part of our R&D team's growth, we are looking for an Embedded Systems Security Researcher to contribute to advanced technological projects involving embedded systems, wireless communications, and hardware and software component analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform research and vulnerability analysis on embedded systems and connected platforms;
  • Conduct reverse engineering activities on software, firmware, and communication protocols;
  • Analyze, decode, and test wireless protocols, including Wi-Fi and BLE;
  • Participate in identifying, reproducing, and validating security flaws;
  • Design and develop analysis tools, scripts, or methods to accelerate research work;
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand technical issues and propose robust solutions;
  • Document research results, methods used, and technical recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates with 5 to 7 years of experience;
  • Experience in a role such as:
  • + Vulnerability Researcher;
  • + Reverse Engineer;
  • + Security-oriented Embedded Software Developer.
  • Solid understanding of embedded systems, their hardware and software architecture (ARM64, MIPS);
  • Practical experience with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth communication protocols;
  • Experience with mobile operating systems (iOS, Android);
  • Knowledge of embedded Linux environments, firmware, and debugging tools;
  • Programming experience (C/C++, Python, ...);
  • Experience with reverse engineering tools (Ghidra, IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, Frida, ...);
  • Knowledge of computer security applied to embedded systems, an asset;
  • Knowledge of cellular protocols (LTE, 5G) or software-defined radio (SDR) systems, an asset.
