Roles and Responsibilities

As a Microservices Developer, you will play a key role in designing and developing modern integration solutions. You will be called upon to:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance microservices in Java within a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) cloud environment.
• Develop, secure, and enhance REST APIs following best development practices.
• Participate in the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and automated deployments.
• Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to ensure the deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of services.
• Develop event-driven architectures using Google Pub/Sub to ensure effective communication between applications.
• Perform API testing, validation, and documentation using Postman.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth.
• Participate in code reviews, continuous improvement activities, and Agile ceremonies.
• Actively contribute to the quality, performance, and stability of delivered solutions.

Qualifications Required for Success in This Role

• You possess:
• Intermediate or advanced experience in microservices development.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Excellent proficiency in Java.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong knowledge of REST API development and integration.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD integration and deployment tools.
• Proficiency in containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Experience with event-driven architectures using Google Pub/Sub.
• Good knowledge of security protocols and authentication, including OAuth.
• Experience with Postman for API testing and documentation.
• Ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary Agile environment.
• Excellent communication skills, a strong team spirit, and a strong sense of autonomy, initiative, and quality.

• The following skills will be considered advantages:
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or Salesforce.
• Knowledge of automated testing (JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers, or equivalent).
• Experience with event-driven architectures and distributed environments.
• Knowledge of observability practices (logs, metrics, monitoring).

CGI offers a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, and professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions depend on the particularities of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between $75,000 to $130,000. This position is open.
