Within the Financial Disclosure – Accounting team, we are looking for a financial accounting professional known for their rigor, sense of responsibility, and interest in financial analysis. Curious, collaborative, and quality-conscious, the person contributes to the preparation, analysis, and validation of disclosed financial information while developing their expertise in a stimulating and constantly evolving environment.

They contribute to the quality of the team's deliverables, support more experienced advisors in completing certain tasks, and develop their skills in financial accounting, analysis, and disclosure in collaboration with various internal partners.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in the analysis of financial transactions and accounting files, with the support of more experienced advisors, to contribute to the accuracy and compliance of financial information according to applicable accounting standards;
  • Contribute to the financial follow-up of investment subsidiaries and collaborate with Tax, Legal Affairs teams, and other stakeholders to support the realization of operational activities;
  • Prepare financial statements, monthly and quarterly analyses, and reconciliations, while ensuring adequate documentation and special attention to data quality;
  • Produce financial reports, tracking tables, and ad-hoc analyses to support the team's and internal partners' needs;
  • Participate in the preparation and validation of certain financial information related to the CDPQ's annual report, in compliance with established deadlines and quality standards;
  • Identify improvement opportunities in processes under their responsibility and contribute to the implementation of simple and effective solutions in collaboration with the team;
  • Use financial management systems and technological tools to produce reliable analyses and improve the efficiency of recurring tasks;
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, ask the right questions, and contribute to problem-solving in a learning and continuous improvement perspective.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline;
  • CPA designation obtained or in the process of being obtained;
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience;
  • Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards;
  • Proficiency with computer systems, technological tools, and data exploitation;
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
  • Excellent proficiency in French.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Power BI;
  • Knowledge of SQL.
