Description

Reporting to the President, the Plant Manager is responsible for the overall management of GENYK's manufacturing operations. He ensures safe, efficient, and profitable production while fostering a collaborative work environment.

He coordinates the activities of production, shipping, maintenance, and operations planning to ensure compliance with deadlines, quality standards, health and safety objectives, and customer needs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the production and shipping teams, including the Production Manager, production team (approximately 15 employees), and shipping team (3 employees).
  • Plan, coordinate, and optimize all plant operations to ensure effective use of human, material, and financial resources while meeting quality, productivity, and delivery objectives.
  • Develop, standardize, and evolve work methods, processes, and management tools.
  • Identify, prioritize, and drive continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing plant performance, reducing losses, and supporting company growth.
  • Establish clear expectations, fostering a respectful, collaborative, and solution-oriented work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards by adhering to CNESST requirements, safe work procedures, and participating in the SST committee.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning and minimize production downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with Genyk's quality standards and promote a culture where every employee is responsible for the quality of their work.
  • Coordinate activities between production, procurement, planning, laboratory, maintenance, and shipping to ensure smooth operations.
  • Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators, then implement necessary action plans to achieve company objectives.

Qualifications

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, and project management.
  • Good knowledge of occupational health and safety standards and CNESST requirements.
  • Proficiency in computer tools, emerging technologies, and artificial intelligence.
  • Recognized on-the-ground manager for his initiative and ability to act, capable of identifying improvement opportunities, making quick decisions, and turning ideas into concrete actions.
  • Excellent French proficiency and good English proficiency, both spoken and written.
