*What will you do?*

Howden Canada Ventilators Covent is looking for a Mechanical Engineer/Design to participate in the design of fans at the St-Bruno plant.

In this role, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Perform the design of fans and blowers by reviewing customer technical proposals and performing fan design calculations
  • Select the required mechanical components
  • Correct manufacturing drawings
  • Collaborate and support other departments, suppliers, and customers on technical issues
  • Participate in laboratory testing
  • Document work methods, standards, calculations, and other engineering-related details
  • Build tools and programs useful for improving design tasks
  • Visit job sites to perform diagnostics when necessary
  • *The physical work environment requires*
  • Presence at the St-Bruno site to support production and other departments' requests
  • Possibility of a hybrid schedule (1-2 days per week) according to demands and projects
  • Work environment is in French, advanced French knowledge is essential

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
  • Professional engineer certification is not a prerequisite
  • 0-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or design
  • Knowledge of Inventor and VB Programming software
  • Desired skills:
  • Attention to detail, organized, self-motivated, and desire to learn
  • Positive attitude, focused on continuous improvement
  • Ability to master different mechanical concepts, as our product is custom-made
  • English is not required for this role, but functional English may be desirable
