We need someone like you to manage tissue donor recommendations and coordinate key steps in the donation process. Your daily tasks *Administrative aspect:*
- Receive calls from various partners who identify and refer potential human tissue donors to Héma-Québec while managing emergencies
- Verify the presence of consent or refusal to donate by checking various Quebec consent registries and collecting relevant information about the potential donor (medical history, contact information of respondents, etc.)
- Follow up with external stakeholders (hospital admission service, morgues, care units, funeral homes) to secure or release bodies
- *Medical-social aspect:*
- Evaluate the donor's eligibility according to medical and social criteria and qualify them using a detailed questionnaire.
- Organize and coordinate the logistics of the collection with various partners (transporters, healthcare teams, funeral homes), taking into account deadlines, availability, and constraints.
- Ensure complete information transmission to the collection teams
- Provide feedback to the donor's family while adhering to guidelines.
Your schedule (indicative) and other particularities
- 35 hours per week
- Working hours (indicative): 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- One weekend every two weeks, Monday to Friday
Your expertise
- Professional or college diploma in the healthcare field. A diploma in a non-healthcare field combined with relevant experience in a related field may be considered (e.g., thanatology techniques, funeral services training, medical assistant or secretary).
- 6 months to 2 years of relevant work experience related to client service.
- Experience with grieving families (asset)
- Excellent client-oriented approach, courtesy, and respect;
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills;
- Recognized for your organizational skills;
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases simultaneously;
- Demonstrate rigor and integrity
- Good knowledge of BPF/BPD
