Temporary Inspector (Evening Shift)

We are looking for a candidate to fill a temporary inspector position on the evening shift at its Granby plant. In this role, you will report to the Supervisor, Inspection.

Main Responsibilities

• Inspect various pieces according to the provided technical drawings
• Handle and inspect heavy loads with lifting equipment
• Fill out deviation reports when necessary
• Be responsible for the quarantine of inspection
• Use different measuring instruments to verify pieces
• Test the chemical composition of received materials
• Conduct hardness tests and other non-destructive tests

Requirements

• High school diploma or technical school certificate
• Minimum of 3 years of varied experience in inspection
• Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) is an asset
• Knowledge and ability to use measuring equipment
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret drawings, instructions, specifications, and Q.A procedures
• Ability to write reports and maintain records
• Comfortable with computers and their software
