The position is based in our Kirkland facility.
We are looking for an IT Technician to develop our department.
Reporting to the Group IT Director - Infrastructure & Security, the IT Technician is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organizations local and regional technological infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assists in system maintenance and upgrades, and offers user support and training.
The role involves collaborating with internal teams and ensuring the efficient operation of hardware, software, and networks.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical assistance for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Respond to intervention requests and IT incidents, and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Use the Manage Engine tool suite to monitor, manage, and maintain the IT infrastructure.
- Adhere to ITIL best practices in incident, problem, and change management.
- Collaborate with support teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Document and maintain accurate records of IT support activities and resolutions.
- Participate in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems and applications.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide support outside of regular business hours if necessary.
- Regularly audit systems and proactively identify areas for improvement.
- Provide training and advice to end-users on IT-related topics.
- Manage relationships with local vendors for local services, such as mobile phone services.
- Respond quickly to IT requests and issues.
- Troubleshoot and maintain hardware, software, and networks.
- Participate in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment.
- Potentially participate in local business process improvement meetings to report on system improvement needs and align them with the global IT team.
System Maintenance and Upgrades
- Perform routine checks to ensure the secure and efficient operation of systems.
- Accompany system upgrades and migrations, minimizing downtime.
User Assistance and Training
- Provide advice to users.
Collaboration and Teamwork
- Work with the international IT team to resolve complex issues and contribute to projects.
- Serve as a liaison with other services to understand their IT needs and provide solutions.
What You'll Bring
- University degree or other qualification in the field of computer science or a related discipline.
Technical Skills
- Proven experience in operating systems, hardware troubleshooting, software applications, and networks.
- Confirmed experience in providing technical support and efficiently and effectively troubleshooting IT issues.
- Experience in assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and systems.
- Experience with Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and software.
- Knowledge of Business Central or SAP business processes is considered an asset.
