The mission we propose to you:
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Sample Taker - Warehouse plays a key role in the raw material control process. You will be responsible for taking samples of received raw materials, ensuring their identification and traceability, and shipping them to the laboratory according to established procedures. In parallel, you will contribute to warehouse operations by handling raw materials safely using a forklift.
A glimpse of your daily routine:
- Take samples of newly arrived and recently added raw materials to ensure the accuracy of information and traceability.
- Verify the identification of raw materials (product, batch number, status) before sampling to avoid traceability errors.
- Inspect containers to confirm their integrity, cleanliness, and absence of damage before sampling.
- Ship samples to the laboratory within the required deadlines to allow for analysis and approval.
- Perform the required follow-ups with the laboratory to confirm the receipt of samples.
- Move raw materials using forklifts to designated warehouse locations.
- Position raw materials according to their status (e.g., quarantine) to ensure compliant storage.
- Apply health, safety, and raw material handling procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain the cleanliness and order of the work area to support operational efficiency.
- Complete any other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor as needed.

You are the ideal candidate if you possess
- A high school diploma (DES) or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Forklift operation experience (valid certification or ability to obtain one).
- Basic computer skills (inventory management, requisition systems, and traceability).
- Experience in raw material identification, sampling, or control (an asset).
- A level of French and English allowing you to communicate with some team members and understand technical documentation primarily written in English.
- The ability to lift weights of over 45 lb.
