Class 1 Driver

GFL Environmental is looking for a Class 1 FM driver to join our team in Lévis for long-distance driving! Overnight stays from Monday to Friday are required for this position to travel to Fermont each week to collect from 10 to 15 clients per week.

Main Responsibilities

• Drive a closed van truck and/or tractor and trailer;
• 60% vehicle driving and 40% manual work;
• Handling and retrieval of various containers;
• Complete various administrative documents;
• Respect the company's Health, Safety, and Environment standards;
• Perform any other related tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 1 FM driver's license (mandatory);
• 5 years of experience in Class 1 road transport;
• Minimum 1 year of experience in tanker transport;
• Good knowledge of heavy vehicle mechanics;
• Good written and spoken French;
• Excellent physical condition, good endurance, ability to lift weights (approximately 50 pounds);
• Availability to overnight from Monday to Friday;
• Independence;
• Health and safety-oriented.

Work Environment

• Full-time permanent position with a daytime work schedule (starting at 6:00 am), Monday to Friday.
• Eligible for overtime after 40 hours only.
• Long-distance driving to travel to Fermont and collect from 10 to 15 clients per week (overnight from Monday to Friday).
• Majority of manual driving.
