We are looking for a Licensed Nurse - Full Time to join our dedicated team at the Les jardins d'Évangeline residence, located at 2500 Rue Camille-Lefebvre. Your role
Under the authority of the Director of Care, your primary responsibility is to provide quality care to residents and support them in their daily activities. Your daily responsibilities
- Supervise Caregivers under the Caregiver Benefit Act and Auxiliary Nurses;
- Ensure continuity and consistency of care among different teams;
- Provide nursing and medical care according to the resident's health situation;
- Monitor the resident's health evolution and plan necessary actions (e.g., transfer, PTI adjustment, communication with PAB, care escalation);
- Determine and ensure the proper execution of the care and treatment work plan;
- Ensure the follow-up and effective implementation of the resident's intervention plan;
- Apply palliative care and end-of-life protocols, if required;
- Collaborate with various healthcare professionals on diagnostic methods;
- Participate in the welcome and integration of residents into the care unit or living environment;
- Inform the resident and their family about the established care plan;
- Actively participate in team meetings and transmit relevant information to the Director of Care;
- Contribute to continuous improvement processes;
- Administer treatments and medications according to the medical prescription, only if the person meets the required conditions to dispense medication;
- Strictly follow the procedures and protocols established by the LOKIA group;
- Perform any other tasks as requested by your immediate supervisor.
You possess the following qualities
- In-depth knowledge of emergency and routine care;
- Strong understanding of medical terminology;
- Constant vigilance regarding the health status of residents;
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, and respect in interactions;
- Leadership and dynamism;
- Management skills and communication and training competencies;
- Ability to effectively manage emergencies and good stress resistance;
- Show adaptability and flexibility;
- Ensure the respect of confidentiality;
- Proficiency with computer tools and administrative tasks.
Education and experience
- DEP or DEC in nursing;
- RCR (16-hour minimum training) up-to-date;
- OIIQ license;
- PDSP (physical card)
- Asset: Knowledge of the SyMO software.
Working conditions
- 8/14 days (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM);
- One weekend worked every two weeks.
