Description

As a Project Manager in Construction and Renovation, you will manage medium-sized projects in real estate of intermediate complexity and materiality, particularly in construction, renovation, and renovation of rental spaces and buildings under corporate management and within the network of Caisses. You will act as a resource person and support regarding certain content elements and process follow-ups. Frequent interactions are expected, and you will be called upon to interact with various stakeholders operating in complementary areas of expertise. Mastery of interpersonal relationships becomes an essential skill. More specifically, you will be tasked with:

  • Coordinating advisory activities with the client regarding real estate orientations, evaluation of their real estate or furniture needs, management and implementation of real estate projects, workspace and electromechanical infrastructure arrangements, and building investments
  • Acting as a resource person and support for the client and colleagues regarding certain content elements and process follow-ups of real estate project implementation
  • Supervising, coordinating, and managing projects of intermediate to complex complexity and materiality
  • Analyzing and diagnosing the impacts and issues on the client's activities and operations, and recommending solutions in accordance with applicable standards, policies, and laws
  • Ensuring the selection of the required partners for project execution and coordinating the activities of the contractors in accordance with established norms, practices, procedures, and methods
  • Implementing project schedules and budgets according to the project realization steps and ensuring their control
  • Identifying risks and challenges to manage them

What you will bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or another appropriate discipline
  • A minimum of four years of experience in office construction/renovation project management
  • Please note that other combinations of relevant education and experience may be considered
  • Experience in resource management (internal partners and external professionals) and simple to complex activities
  • Proficiency in French, both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of reading architectural, electromechanical, and renovation plans
  • Knowledge of construction, generalist for all trades (engineering, architecture, interior design, project management)
  • Knowledge of contract management (knowledge of CCDC-2, CCDC-5)
  • Knowledge of Ms Project
  • Knowledge of the Office suite
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
