Caregiver for elderly man (Hudson)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide attentive, respectful, and personalized care for an elderly gentleman. Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort
• Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules and document all medication-related activities
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper food handling and hygiene standards
• Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive environment for the elderly individual
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living space
• Support with medical appointments or errands as needed, ensuring proper communication with healthcare providers
• Monitor health status, observe changes in condition such as dementia or disabilities, and report significant findings promptly

Experience

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred
• Proven track record in patient care, senior care, or hospice care demonstrating compassion and reliability
• Familiarity with caregiving tasks such as medication administration, meal preparation, and light cleaning
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia is advantageous
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for mobility assistance or transferring individuals safely
• Knowledge of caregiving best practices combined with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and healthcare teams
