About District
District is a private training studio built around making fitness approachable, effective, and sustainable. Our approach combines strength training, movement quality, rehabilitation, and long-term client relationships in a welcoming, community-driven environment.
The Role
We're looking for a Certified Athletic Therapist to join our team and build their practice within District.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work independently while having access to a fully equipped private training facility. You'll have everything needed to assess, treat, and rehabilitate clients, with dedicated treatment table access as well as a state-of-the-art strength and conditioning space to guide clients through active rehabilitation and return-to-performance programming.
While you'll certainly work with clients recovering from injuries, a large part of your caseload will also consist of everyday individuals who simply want to move better, reduce pain, build strength, improve mobility, or train with confidence. Many of our members don't require formal rehabilitation—they're looking for expert guidance to stay healthy, prevent injuries, and continue living active lives.
For therapists who enjoy coaching, there is also the opportunity to lead small group strength and conditioning classes.
Responsibilities
- Develop individualized rehabilitation, performance, and injury-prevention programs
- Assess, treat, and manage injuries when appropriate
- Work with everyday fitness clients to improve movement quality, mobility, strength, and overall function
- Guide clients through active rehabilitation and exercise using our fully equipped training space
- Collaborate with trainers and other health professionals when appropriate
- Build and manage your own client base while also receiving referrals through the studio
- (Optional) Coach small group strength and conditioning classes
Qualifications & Experience
- Certified Athletic Therapist (CATA) or eligible for certification
- Strong understanding of exercise prescription and movement mechanics
- Experience assessing and treating orthopedic and sports-related injuries
- Existing clientele is an asset, but not required
What We're Looking For
- Friendly, professional and confident working one-on-one with clients
- Passion for helping people move and feel better
- Comfortable working with everyone from recreational clients to athletes
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
- Comfortable working in both English and French
What We Offer
- Flexible schedule
- Competitive compensation
- Access to an established referral network and growing client base
- A modern private training studio with dedicated treatment table access
- State-of-the-art strength and conditioning equipment for active rehabilitation
- Opportunity to collaborate with experienced personal trainers and other health professionals
- Supportive, community-focused work environment with room to grow
- Job Type: Part-time
- Mandate: Independent Contractor
- Work Location: In person (Montreal)
