Compensation: Our salary scale ranges from $86,816.59 to $108,520.74, depending on qualifications and experience.

About the Role
Join SCHL as a Bilingual Specialist, Subscription of Collective Housing (Housing Program), and play a key role in advancing housing solutions in Canada. Opportunities exist within the Affordable Housing Construction Loan Program (AHCLP) and other housing program teams. In these roles, you will leverage your expertise in financial analysis and subscription, as well as your customer relationship management skills, to support the delivery of new rental housing projects, including large-scale projects and initiatives contributing to the development and expansion of affordable housing solutions.
These are several temporary positions lasting 18 to 24 months.
What You Will Do
- Apply sound judgment and decision-making practices based on complex financial analysis while formulating recommendations;
- Maintain quality relationships with clients to understand their needs, goals, and explore opportunities;
- Act as a direct lender within the AHCLP program or within the Homes Canada initiatives: review, subscribe, prioritize, and approve loan applications while evaluating financial viability and adherence to program policies and operational procedures;
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and formulate recommendations for full approval;
- Manage risks by exercising prudence and reasonable diligence during the review, subscription, evaluation, and approval of applications;
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and various government levels by offering advice, support, and alternative solutions;
- Prepare credit analysis reports, evaluate conclusions, and negotiate terms to ensure compliance with SCHL's operational policy and approval powers.
Skills You Should Have
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field related to real estate, such as business administration, accounting, finance, or commerce, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience;
- At least five years of experience in construction financing, real estate, financial markets, or credit risk analysis for collective housing;
- Proven experience in evaluating financial viability as well as in reviewing, evaluating, prioritizing, and approving loan applications;
- Ability to conduct research, analyze problems, summarize information, and formulate recommendations;
- Ability to manage files and issues (of a delicate nature) by applying critical thinking and judgment;
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships;
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both official languages (French and English), with the ability to clearly explain decisions and address objections.
- It Would Be Great If You Also Possessed These Skills:
- Experience or knowledge in real estate management, real estate appraisal, property inspection, project tracking or development, or real estate law are considered an asset;
- A designation from a professional association such as CRF, AACI, CA, CMA, CFA, or CPM;
- Experience in producing reports or using statistical analysis software such as MS Excel.
