Description
What we are looking for
- Data Center Critical Infrastructure Technician
You ensure the proper functioning, security, and performance of the hardware and network infrastructures of a data center. You intervene throughout the entire lifecycle of the equipment, from their installation to their optimization.
- Ensure the optimal functioning of computer equipment (servers, switches, routers, and storage systems).
- Participate in the deployment and installation of the technical infrastructures of the data center.
- Detect, diagnose, and resolve hardware and network incidents in the shortest possible time.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Installation and commissioning
- Install, configure, and commission new equipment.
- Perform cabling and connections according to standards and best practices.
- Carry out upgrades of equipment and associated software.
- Optimization and security
- Optimize the infrastructures to ensure their performance, availability, and reliability.
- Ensure the physical security of the facilities and the application of good practices in information security.
- Contribute to maintaining compliance with applicable standards, policies, and procedures.
- Technical support
- Deploy and configure workstations and computer equipment.
- Provide technical support to users.
- Keep technical documentation up to date.
- Collaborate with the various technical teams to ensure the continuity of operations.
Who you are
- DEC in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar role in a data center, IT infrastructure, or network administration.
- Good mastery of operating systems, networks, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, switches, and routers.
- Knowledge of information security principles.
- Excellent diagnostic and technical problem-solving skills.
- Team spirit and excellent collaboration.
- Rigor and concern for quality.
- Sense of organization and priority management.
- Ability to adapt in an evolving environment.
- Curiosity, autonomy, and interest in new technologies.
- Customer and results orientation.
- Salary: $60,000 to $90,000 per year
