Do you want to directly contribute to reinventing how young people discover Quebec content? Here, you'll be part of a major shift. You'll help build an ambitious digital strategy that will make Télé-Québec a reference for ages 9 to 17. If you set everything up to be where your audience is, understand the codes of social platforms, and love turning ideas into engaging content, this challenge is for you.

As a Social Media Manager, you will contribute to defining and deploying Télé-Québec's social media strategy to reach, engage, and retain young audiences. You will develop distribution and discoverability strategies that will make our content appealing to young people and stand out, according to their current needs. You will imagine, produce, and distribute original content tailored to the realities of each platform (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and emerging platforms), in collaboration with editorial teams, producers, and content creators. Always on the lookout for best practices, you will experiment with new approaches, analyze the performance of your actions, and continuously adjust your strategies to optimize results.

Concretely, you will have the opportunity to…

  • Define the social media presence strategy for the content and brands under your responsibility.
  • Contribute to building the new strategy for contact between Télé-Québec and young people aged 9 to 17.
  • Develop editorial calendars and orchestrate publications on different platforms.
  • Create multi-format digital content tailored for each platform and audience.
  • Collaborate with producers, content creators, and editorial teams to develop high-performing content.
  • Identify the best discoverability opportunities and recommend appropriate media investments.
  • Participate in developing influence strategies and measure their impact.
  • Analyze performance data using tools like Power BI, Emplifi, and platform analytics to recommend optimizations.
  • Manage the community and contribute to maintaining an authentic relationship with the public.
  • Quickly identify new trends, platforms, and digital uses to keep Télé-Québec where its audience is.
  • Desired Profile

We are looking for a strategic, curious, and creative person who loves building, experimenting, and improving. Someone who can thrive in a transformative context where everything is yet to be invented.

You stand out by

  • Your boldness to test new ideas and go off the beaten path;
  • Your ability to turn data into concrete actions;
  • Your instinct for understanding young people's behaviors and codes;
  • Your creativity in digital content creation;
  • Your autonomy and sense of organization;
  • Your ease in collaborating with multiple stakeholders and managing multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Your ability to adapt to a changing environment where priorities can shift quickly.

Background

  • Bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, or a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in social media management and community development.
  • Significant experience with a youth audience (9 to 17 years old), a major asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of social platforms, particularly YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Solid understanding of digital trends, algorithms, and discoverability strategies.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to adapt your tone for different audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills for performance data and digital metrics.
  • Knowledge of tools such as Business Manager, Power BI, Emplifi, or other analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of visual and video creation tools (Adobe, Figma, or equivalent), an asset.
  • Excellent written and spoken French.
  • Good understanding of English for international trend monitoring.

This job is for you if…

  • You believe the best content is that which meets its audience at the right time and on the right platform.
  • You enjoy as much thinking about a strategy as creating the content that will bring it to life.
  • You are looking for a role where you can truly influence how an organization connects with new generations.
  • You don't wait for trends to arrive: you observe, understand, and quickly put them to use.
  • You appreciate environments where we build, experiment, and learn continuously.
  • You want to contribute to a transformation project that redefines Télé-Québec's future with young people.
