Your responsibilities as a Meat Clerk

• Receive and count merchandise destined for sale, such as meats and any other products sold by your department, ordered by the department manager or assistant manager, and ensure they are correctly placed in the warehouse, refrigerator, or any other assigned storage area;
• Prepare meat products, package, label, and display them according to the department's rules;
• Perform price changes on displays, and if necessary, on products in your department;
• If necessary, perform merchandise rotation on displays and keep work areas clean;
• Be the point of contact for customer service in your department;
• Comply with government food safety standards;
• Wear required safety equipment;
• Clean work areas and keep sales surfaces clean, such as counters, displays, etc.;
• Perform any other tasks as required by your immediate supervisor.
