Senior Web Designer
Sales & marketingDescription
At Web Hosting Canada (WHC), we are committed to helping Canadians succeed online through reliable, market-focused web hosting services. Since 2003, we have supported businesses and individuals with top-tier website, domain name, and email solutions.
If you are looking for a dynamic and human environment, and the Canadian tech landscape excites you, we would like to have you on our team!
The Role
You will shape WHC's digital presence and directly contribute to the speed at which our marketing ideas become high-performing campaigns.
Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will combine two rare skills in one role: senior-level digital design and the creation of AI-powered creative production systems. You will design landing pages, campaign assets, digital ads, and visual experiences that people see first, while building reproducible processes that allow for faster transformation of a solid concept into a complete, brand-coherent campaign.
Design remains the craft, and your judgment determines what gets published. AI, automation, models, and systems act as multipliers. This is a hands-on role for someone who can move from a brief to a concept, then to a ready-to-launch realization, work directly in WordPress, and continuously improve the work based on performance data, tests, and feedback received.
What You Will Do
- Design and launch high-performing landing pages and campaign assets for paid advertising, social media, sales tools, and promotional materials, from concept to WordPress integration.
- Take ownership and evolve WHC's digital visual identity, applying senior-level creative judgment to ensure every creation is clear, consistent, brand-aligned, and conversion-focused.
- Utilize creative AI tools and build reusable queries, processes, models, components, and automations that increase the team's production capacity without compromising quality.
- Create and customize responsive landing pages directly in WordPress using Gutenberg, Elementor, HTML, CSS, and, if needed, basic JavaScript.
- Create accessible, fast, and SEO-friendly digital experiences, then optimize them based on performance data, user feedback, heatmaps, A/B tests, and campaign results.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Content, Product, and Development teams to launch quickly, eliminate unnecessary intermediaries, and proactively improve creative quality, performance, and execution speed.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in web, digital, or graphic design, with a strong portfolio of landing pages, campaigns, brand systems, and conversion-focused digital creations; please attach it with your application.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable professional tools.
- Hands-on experience in designing, creating, and publishing pages in WordPress.
- Demonstrated ability to use AI, automation, models, or reproducible processes to enhance creative production and execution speed.
- Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS; basic knowledge of JavaScript is a plus.
- Solid understanding of responsive design, core UX principles, accessibility, web performance, and SEO.
- Performance-driven mindset, excellent creative judgment, autonomy, curiosity, and a results-oriented approach that prioritizes execution, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills in both French and English.
Assets
- Experience in web hosting, SaaS, domain names, e-commerce, or another tech environment, particularly within a growth-oriented or campaign-focused team.
- Experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, heatmaps, or A/B testing tools.
- Experience in motion design or video editing.
