About the position
The objective of Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) Canada is to provide daily operational services to Société Générale's investment banking and financing entities, as well as their clients, to accelerate their transformation.

The Market Risk and Collateral (MRC) team is part of the XRM (Cross Risk Metrics) department, whose mission is to support the Risk Management (RISQ) department. This is a central and dynamic position in which you will provide technical and functional support on the market risk chain to allow traders and risk analysts to manage their risks on a daily basis.
Strong communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and knowledge of ITIL best practices are essential, as you will be responsible for the support and maintenance of applications.
You will also contribute to the development of DevOps activities within the support team. In close collaboration with the local development team, you will implement tools and best practices to improve the efficiency of support and development teams.

Your daily missions
- Your contribution to the team's daily activities will include:
- Leveraging your knowledge and sense of service to respond to business requests, ensure appropriate escalation, and guarantee the precise and timely resolution of incidents.
- Providing daily technical expertise and operational support to ensure maximum stability of production environments for critical applications.
- Monitoring and supporting applications related to the front office, market data, risk management, P&L, etc.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical incidents (log analysis, SQL, Unix) in close collaboration with level 3 development teams.
- Working with application development teams to deploy fixes and improve system stability.
- Collaborating with business, technical, and operational teams to manage competing priorities.
- Documenting, implementing, and adhering to operational and technical standards, best practices, processes, and procedures (incident management, changes, releases, requests, reporting).
- Identifying and implementing axes for improvement of existing technical and operational processes, and maintaining associated documentation.
- Contributing to DevOps activities focused on the creation, improvement, or testing of products, systems, or solutions.
- Maintaining build and development environments (CI/CD, containerization, etc.).
- Ensuring the treatment of vulnerabilities in accordance with SLAs.
- Optimizing the use of resources in production and non-production environments.
- Identifying and deploying tools to improve the efficiency of support and development teams.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Analytical capacity and ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
- Knowledge of Big Data technologies, cloud, and APIs.
- Strong incident resolution (troubleshooting) skills, with particular technical expertise in SQL/Unix and experience with relational databases.
- Rigorous, autonomous, and proactive person, capable of managing multiple concurrent tasks and priorities with a high level of precision, accuracy, confidentiality, diplomacy, and initiative.
- Very good English proficiency required. Proficiency in a second foreign language is an asset.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, with a high sense of responsibility, strong professionalism, and sound judgment.

- User orientation and sense of service, with a proactive approach towards users.
- Ability to share knowledge or conduct training sessions, as well as produce functional documentation.
- Significant experience in task automation.
Assets (Nice to Have)
- ITIL and/or Azure Cloud certification.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent foreign degree in computer science or engineering.
- More than 5 years of experience in application support, technical support, or service management (Service Delivery), ideally in the financial sector.
- Language skills:
The ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person occupying this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners located in the United States.
