The workplace is currently located at the indicated address. However, it will be relocated to 3705 Saint-Patrick Street, Montreal (Quebec) H4E 1A1 starting January 2027.

This process aims to fill 1 permanent position (081763) and is open to all blue-collar employees and assistants of the City of Montreal. If no eligible blue-collar employee is identified, and in accordance with clause 19.27 step 1a) and step 1b) of the collective agreement, eligible blue-collar assistants who have completed their probationary period as per clause 2.01g) and have applied through this posting will be considered, in accordance with clause 19.27 step 3j) of the collective agreement. Your Role

Specifically, you will:

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations of industrial process systems, domestic plumbing, and heating systems (hot water and steam under pressure);
• Locate defects and perform maintenance and repair work;
• Inspect and install piping, equipment, control valves, and all accessories necessary for the proper functioning of the systems;
• Connect air, water, sewer, gas, steam, and process pipelines to supply and return networks.

DESIRED PROFILE

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in plumbing and heating
• 3 years of experience related to the responsibilities of the position, specifically in the maintenance of plumbing and heating systems in an equivalent complex industrial environment (food processing, pulp and paper, metallurgy, petrochemistry, etc.)
• Journeyman plumber and heating specialist certification issued by the Quebec Construction Commission (CCQ) or a qualification certificate issued by Emploi Quebec
• Class 5 driver's license
• General Health and Safety course certification for construction sites (ASP)
• Gas piping installation (ITG) and class 1 gas equipment technician (TAG-1) certification issued by Emploi Quebec, preferred
