We are seeking a motivated and reliable pallet truck operator to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of a pallet truck to move, load, unload, and transport Burnbrae products within the warehouse. They will also ensure the equipment is in good working condition and comply with health and safety regulations.

Location: Upton

Term: Full-time, permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM

Hourly Rate: $22.74

Work Mode: On-site - In-person

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a pallet truck to move Burnbrae products within the warehouse.
  • Stock up production, storage, and shipping areas according to operational needs.
  • Load, unload, and move pallets while handling products with care.
  • Perform daily pallet truck inspections and report any anomalies or maintenance needs.
  • Comply with Burnbrae Farms' health and safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Maintain work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure an efficient flow of goods.
  • Quickly communicate any safety, equipment, or operational issues to supervision.

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in material handling or as a pallet truck operator, an asset.
  • Experience in a food environment or with fragile products, an asset.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Good knowledge of warehouse health and safety practices.
  • Good physical condition and ability to safely lift, move, or handle loads.
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.
  • Sense of organization, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Certification for the operation of an electric pallet truck, an asset.
