Reporting to the production supervisor, the Team Lead – Welder Assembler is a hands-on leader who actively participates in manufacturing activities while ensuring daily coordination of their team.

In addition to performing assembly and welding operations on various steel structures (H-profile, U-profile, I-profile, corner, and flat plate), they organize their team's work, monitor production, promote a safe and motivating work environment, and act as a resource between employees and supervision.

They directly contribute to achieving production, quality, health, and safety objectives as well as continuous improvement of operations.

As a Team Lead – Welder Assembler, your challenges will be

  • Organize and lead morning meetings to communicate priorities, production goals, and important information to your team.
  • Participate in shift transition meetings to ensure effective operation continuity and be aware of work progress.
  • Plan and assign tasks based on production priorities, previous shift work progress, available resources, and deadlines.
  • Set daily production goals for each team member and monitor them throughout the shift.
  • Provide regular feedback to employees regarding goal achievement.
  • Encourage, motivate, and develop the skills of your team members.
  • Facilitate the onboarding, integration, and mentoring of new employees.
  • Serve as a positive leader by embodying Lainco's values, setting an example, and ensuring compliance with company policies and health and safety rules.
  • Prepare pieces for assembly and welding.
  • Read and interpret welding plans and technical specifications.
  • Perform grinding operations on pieces.
  • Cut with a torch (oxycutting).
  • Manipulate pieces using a bridge crane.
  • Use semi-automatic welding equipment Metalcor (MCAW) – 95% Fluxcor (FCAW) – 5%.
  • Follow health and safety rules and policies.
