As a Camera Operator JE/VL, you will be responsible for operating portable autonomous cameras and peripherals to create unique camera shots and visual effects through original camera angles and shots. By doing so, you will be called upon to respond to and anticipate the goals sought by production and the artistic, dramatic, or other intentions of the show. You will also be responsible for coordinating the setup and verification of equipment under your control and operating the transfer of collected material.

Please note that you will be required to work different shifts during the week and weekends. This is an additional position.

This position requires full-time on-site presence.

Desired Profile:

Qualifications

• Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in television production and post-production techniques or other relevant DEC;
• Five (5) years or more of relevant experience in production and filming of shows, news, and/or outdoor broadcasting.

Skills

• Excellent experience in non-linear editing (Avid is an asset);
• Demonstrate knowledge in editing, audio, lighting, and camera, as well as computer skills;
• Excellent knowledge and mastery of spoken and written French;
• Good knowledge of English, an asset;
• Ability to work effectively within a team;
• Creativity and initiative;
• Capacity to make quick and autonomous decisions;
• Knowledge and interest in the news of the Quebec region;
• Experience in digital production, an asset;
• Knowledge of the operation of the Broadcasting Centre equipment, an asset;
• Possession of a valid driver's license (Class 5) and a driving record that meets the criteria of CBC/Radio-Canada's insurance company.
