The installer works at the Auto Centre in a fast-paced environment. The role includes oil lubrication and changes, tire installation, rotation, and balancing, as well as routine vehicle maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and repairs as requested by customers (oil changes, filter changes, tire removal, installation, rotation, balancing, basic repairs, maintenance, and inspections that do not require the presence of a certified automotive mechanic, etc.).
- Perform inspections of the Vehicle Registration Import (RVI).
- Communicate with the Auto Centre manager, technical advisors, certified automotive mechanics, and the auto parts counter clerk.
- Provide accurate vehicle estimates and written reports to technical advisors.
- Ensure that a dangerous vehicle is reported to the management team and the vehicle owner.
- Comply with health and safety regulations.
Requirements/Skills
- Valid driver's license in the province of employment
- Ability to perform physical efforts, including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and transporting merchandise, using a ladder, performing twists, turning, and reaching for objects
- Ability to work shifts (day, evening, weekend, and holidays)
- Friendly and customer-oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt, and handle difficult situations and make decisions
- Knowledge of current automotive technologies
- Ability to work effectively with computer systems
- Results-oriented
- Experience in a similar position at a Canadian Tire Auto Centre (asset)
- Good practical knowledge of COSTAR (asset)
