Under the direction of the Senior Director, Logistics, the Head of Equipment Fleet Management plays a key role in the company's asset optimization strategy. He or she is responsible for planning, controlling, and evaluating activities related to the equipment fleet and inventory management at the national level.

The mandate consists of maximizing equipment utilization, extending their lifecycle, and ensuring optimal return on investment. He or she defines and implements standardized processes aimed at reducing costs, improving performance, and ensuring the sustainability of assets.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement standardized practices to support asset managers in optimizing equipment utilization and maximizing their value.
  • Actively contribute to the equipment acquisition process by collaborating with the strategic procurement department to ensure the optimal selection of assets based on operational needs and financial objectives.
  • Provide strategic recommendations on the timing and methods of asset disposal, taking into account their lifecycle and residual value.
  • Lead and coordinate the equipment mobilization and demobilization process, ensuring efficient planning, safe execution, and cost and time optimization.
  • Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the performance of different equipment classes, validate their cost of return, and oversee the entire internal and external billing process.
  • Proactively plan the current and future use of assets, aligning with operational needs.
  • Actively promote a culture of health and safety by implementing proactive practices and adhering to the highest standards.
  • Plan and oversee the integration of new innovations and technology platforms dedicated to asset management and maintenance, to improve operational efficiency and traceability.
  • Provide quality service and optimal support to job sites, ensuring that the team maintains in-depth expertise for each category of assets.
  • This position is for you if you have
  • More than 10 years of experience in fleet management,
  • Are self-sufficient and capable of managing/coordinating a large number of requests within short timeframes,
  • Have excellent communication and relationship skills,
  • Are mobile and willing to travel as needed.
  • Additional assets
  • Work experience on construction sites,
  • Good knowledge of Pomerleau's internal software,
  • Good knowledge of software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
