Car Washer

Position: Part-Time Car Washer

Urgel Bourgie is currently seeking a Car Washer to fill a permanent full-time position. Reporting to the Supervisor of Building Services, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, aesthetic upkeep of the fleet vehicles, the order of the garage, and supporting daily operations.

Summary of Duties

• Perform interior and exterior washing of vehicles;
• Clean carpets, windows, windshields, doors, and rear compartments;
• Vacuum the interior and trunk;
• Polish and wax vehicles;
• Check the level of windshield wiper fluid and refill reservoirs as needed;
• Move, park, and position vehicles according to operational needs;
• Report any observed anomalies on vehicles.

Maintenance of Facilities

• Maintain cleanliness and order in the garage;
• Sweep work areas;
• Clean garage drains;
• Keep tools and equipment clean, safe, and well-organized.

Support for Operations

• Participate in the reception of goods and caskets;
• Assist the stockroom in handling and storing goods;
• Support the mechanic in various tasks;
• Accompany the mechanic on trips to retrieve or deliver vehicles;
• Prepare tools and provide support during mechanical interventions;
• Perform any other related tasks.

Requirements

• Valid Class 5 driver's license (mandatory);
• Experience in a manual position, vehicle maintenance, automotive aesthetics, garage work, or a related field (asset);
• Good physical condition and ability to perform handling tasks;
• Ability to safely move different types of vehicles;
• Sense of organization and concern for well-done work;
• Team spirit, autonomy, and reliability;
• Compliance with health and safety regulations.

Working Conditions

• Salary: 21.22$ according to the collective agreement

Hours: On call, to cover the absence of regular car washers or to meet increased workload, and on

Saturdays from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM with one unpaid hour for meals.
