Principal or Principal AI Platform Domain Architect

As a Principal AI Platform Domain Architect, you will contribute to the Movement perspective to ensure the vigilance and evolution of the domain related to the development and use of artificial intelligence for the Desjardins Movement. In accordance with the Enterprise Architecture (EA) alignments, you are responsible for the development of technological targets, positions and architecture patterns as well as their communication to the organization. You will leverage significant and proven experience in the implementation of large-scale AI capabilities within major organizations, acquired through concrete, complex and structuring mandates, where you have acted as an expert reference on several strategic projects or initiatives. You will assume a leadership and influence role with business partners and solution or enterprise architecture specialists within the framework of strategic, complex and innovative initiatives in a Movement perspective. The nature of the files requires extensive and in-depth expertise in the development of AI models (predictive and prescriptive) including the entire aspect of model lifecycle management. The domain architect recommends the best technological approaches to the AI use cases that are submitted to him. He frames the development of AI solutions by producing the necessary governance documents in order to minimize risks and maximize the business value brought by the AI use cases. He is also responsible for producing the evolution plans of his domain in order to maintain the highest standards of the market in terms of practices and technologies while reducing the obsolescence of our IT park.

The stakeholders are numerous and you will be called upon to interact with a very large number of stakeholders working in various fields of expertise. Mastery of interpersonal relationships, communication, political sense as well as strong leadership become essential skills. You play an expert-advisory and content role in your domain and act as a resource person and coach for the senior management and bodies. More specifically, you will be called upon to:

• Develop, maintain and communicate the evolution plan of the AI platform architecture domain, in line with the EA and modernization targets.
• Evaluate the application and technological health of the domain, taking into account the health reports, risks and elements of architecture out of line with the EA orientations, frameworks and targets.
• Ensure the alignment of the proposed solution architectures with the evolution plan.
• Accompany and review the solution architectures of projects in the identification, feasibility and design phases.
• Write the architectures and positions.
• Play an advisory role by participating in various architecture committees, in the elaboration of the enterprise architecture targets, patterns and frameworks related to the domain.
• Contribute to positions and solution choices.
• Evolve the domain's capabilities to make them reusable at the scale of the Movement.
• Participate/influence the prioritization of initiatives (portfolio, PI-Planning) in order to ensure the alignment of the evolution plan of your domain.
• Act as an expert-advisory and content in the framework of projects, specific mandates in your field of expertise and whose scope and impacts are major for the company and whose scope can be at the level of the Movement.
• Advise and accompany business partners and specialists in the positioning, planning, development, implementation and follow-up of various strategic mandates under your responsibility.
• Organize, manage and deliver, if necessary, orientation work on specific architectures requiring the consensus of multiple stakeholders.
• Target and analyze issues. Raise major issues. Establish frameworks and make recommendations to the concerned bodies and committees.
• Represent your unit to different committees composed of members of the senior management and to the bodies.
• Share knowledge, expertise and ideas with Managers, Finance, Architects and experts.
• Animate the practice communities.

What you will bring

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline
• At least eight years of relevant experience
• Please note that other combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered
• Experience in the Desjardins environment
• Experience with the Azure tool suite
• AI certification
• French language required
• Mastery of AI Architecture Modeling (Consumption, Integration and Development)
• Mastery of Large-Scale AI Model Deployment
• Mastery of Large-Scale AI Model Governance
• In-depth knowledge of technologies and trends related to AI
• Knowledge of the 'TRISM' approach and other AI governance practices
• Knowledge of BizzDesign
