Reporting to the Director of the Center of Excellence, the incumbent acts as an expert in investigations, audits, and crisis management. The person supports operational teams during major incidents, coordinates critical interventions, and actively contributes to the continuous improvement of the management system, particularly in occupational health and safety.

What You Will Do

  • Operational Support
  • Support operational teams during major incidents (SIF) by ensuring structured and effective handling
  • Advise and influence stakeholders in managing complex situations
  • Coordinate actions among the various teams involved
  • Audits
  • Plan, conduct, and document internal audits
  • Support external audits by ensuring compliance with requirements
  • Identify gaps, formulate recommendations, and monitor the implementation of action plans
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the management system
  • Incident Investigations
  • Support project teams in conducting accident investigations, particularly high-potential severity incidents (SIF)
  • Analyze root causes and recommend sustainable corrective measures
  • Ensure the follow-up and implementation of corrective actions within the OHS management system
  • Crisis Management and Emergency Measures
  • Participate in the implementation and maintenance of the crisis management process
  • Coordinate interventions during serious accidents or critical situations
  • Contribute to organizational preparedness (emergency plans, simulations, practice improvement)
  • This position is for you if you have
  • A bachelor's degree or a college diploma in a relevant field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in investigations, audits, and/or crisis management in the construction industry or a related field.
  • Knowledge of management systems (ideally in OHS)
  • Experience in the construction industry
  • Demonstrated ability to work with operational teams
  • Travel and occasional travel across Quebec and Canada.
