Maintenance Manager

About this Opportunity

Under the direction of the plant manager, you are responsible for the daily activities of management, control, and coordination of all phases of maintenance services. You support the plant facilities and equipment maintenance to manufacture quality products in an effective and cost-efficient manner. You play a central role in controlling supervision and improving your staff, providing effective guidance, fostering professional growth, and creating a positive and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and develop a competent maintenance team
• Foster a safe and motivating work environment
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards and company policies in all maintenance activities
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Keep maintenance-related documentation up to date
• Produce regular reports on performance and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Manage, analyze, and present the Maintenance budget
• Identify and implement cost-reduction operational initiatives
• Proactively improve process functioning and seek to increase efficiency
• Manage investment and improvement projects at the plant level in collaboration with project managers

Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering or other equivalent training/experience required
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing as a manager overseeing a workforce, including unionized employees
• Demonstrated experience in team management and maintenance planning
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and SAP Production Management software or equivalent (PM)
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills
• Ability to act as a change agent
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Bilingual in French and English
