Summary
Within the field service department, the person in this role is primarily responsible for installing and commissioning Optel systems at customer sites. They also play a key role in maintenance, training, and technical support to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Main Responsibilities
- Install Optel systems at customer sites according to established standards;
- Perform mechanical and electrical installations while adhering to quality standards;
- Collaborate with the technical support and plant design teams to diagnose and resolve issues;
- Provide training to customers on Optel systems;
- Write complete and accurate installation reports;
- Accompany customers during system qualification;
- Perform maintenance and repairs of installed systems, as requested by the customer service department;
- Conduct engineering visits as needed;
- Produce detailed service reports;
- Identify sales opportunities (new contracts, complementary systems)
Required Skills
- College diploma in electronics, computer science, electromechanical engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience;
- Knowledge of computer science and electronics;
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic industries (asset);
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment;
- Skills in analysis, communication, and popularization of complex technical issues;
- Time management, sense of priorities, and efficiency under pressure;
- Customer-oriented mindset and team spirit;
- Resourcefulness, adaptability, versatility, and flexibility;
- Availability to travel approximately 3 weeks per month;
- Valid driver's license and valid passport;
- Great curiosity and willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, particularly artificial intelligence
