Maintenance Manager

The Patro of Lévis is looking for a pillar for its team: a Maintenance Manager, Maintenance, and Emergency Measures Specialist. If you are recognized for your technical versatility, resourcefulness, organizational skills, and ability to work both on-site and in coordination, this position is for you.

YOUR MISSION

Under the supervision of the General Director, you will have overall responsibility for the health of our infrastructure. You will plan, organize, and control the maintenance of buildings and spaces, while ensuring rigorous management of safety, equipment, and maintenance operations.

In addition to coordinating maintenance and maintenance activities, you will actively participate in on-site work when required, to ensure the quality and efficiency of interventions.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Technical Management, Maintenance, and Maintenance

• Plan and supervise general maintenance, building mechanics (HVAC), and repair work.
• Actively participate in maintenance and minor repairs when necessary.
• Develop the annual preventive maintenance and renovation schedule.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and safety systems.
• Coordinate and ensure the proper functioning of building housekeeping operations.
• Manage relationships with external suppliers: requests for quotations, tenders, and contract follow-up.

2. Leadership and Team Supervision

• Coordinate and mobilize housekeeping staff, volunteers, and interns.
• Establish work priorities and schedules to ensure a clean, safe, and functional environment.
• Participate in teamwork and support operations when workload demands.
• Promote a Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) culture.

3. Administrative and Budget Management

• Manage the procurement and inventory of maintenance and concierge products and materials.
• Collaborate on the preparation of the sector budget and monitor expenses.
• Keep maintenance records up to date and produce infrastructure performance reports.

4. Safety and Emergency Measures (EM)

• Be the guardian of the Emergency Measures Plan (EM): updating, training staff, and rigorous application.
• Collaborate with the prevention mutual for continuous improvement of safety processes.

Education (at least one of the following)

• DEP in general building maintenance, AEC in building technology, or DEC in building mechanics.
• Any equivalent combination of technical training and relevant experience will be considered.

Experience and Skills

• Significant experience in building maintenance, construction, renovation, or general maintenance.
• Knowledge of the Quebec Building Code and building mechanics (an asset).
• Experience in personnel management or team supervision (an asset).
• Proficiency in the Office suite (Excel, Outlook).
