Mandate COMPETITION RESERVED FOR HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICES NETWORK (RSSS) ESTABLISHMENTS INTEGRATED INTO SANTÉ-QUÉBEC ON DECEMBER 1, 2024.
Under the responsibility of the Emergency Measures and Security Coordinator, the incumbent of this position leads security and emergency measures matters at CUSM sites. They manage and supervise emergency measures and security service operations to ensure the safety of people and property. They ensure that CUSM is prepared and able to respond to any security-related events or emergencies.
They plan, organize, and direct human, material, and financial resources under their responsibility to meet CUSM's emergency measures and security requirements. They establish and implement best practices and standards in emergency measures and security, as well as develop and ensure the application of related policies and procedures.
They also participate in the design, revision, and implementation of the emergency measures plan and update various emergency alert, intervention, and restoration protocols. In case of an emergency, the Head of the Emergency Measures and Security Service collaborates with authorities, providing the required support while supervising security interventions. They collaborate on the design and distribution of training, exercise, and emergency simulation programs covering all CUSM sites.
They organize, supervise, and participate in the management of security-related complaints and investigations related to the security and emergency measures service or those requested by other services or departments.
They maintain close and sustained relationships with the main external partners involved in emergency situations at CUSM, including the Montreal Fire Safety Service (SSIM), the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM), and GISM, the private partner of the GLEN site.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (A combination of a college diploma (DEC) or a college certificate (AEC) along with relevant professional experience could also be considered).
- Fire prevention training (TPI) considered an asset.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Relevant professional experience in the field of emergency measures and security.
- Relevant professional experience in management, supervision, or demonstrating increased leadership.
ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES
- Understanding of the functioning and contractual relationship with a public-private partnership (PPP), an asset.
- Valid security guard license.
- Knowledge of the various laws, regulations, and codes applicable to health and social services network establishments.
- Knowledge of the main fire protection systems and different types of fire-fighting equipment.
- Knowledge of physical security systems.
- Knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer tools.
- Dynamic person with a sense of responsibility.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Sense of organization.
- Sense of priorities.
- Motivation and ability to manage stress.
- Proficiency in French, both oral and written.
- Proficiency in English is desirable.
