Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a passion for promoting oral health. In this role, you will perform dental cleanings, patient education, and assist in maintaining a smooth and efficient dental practice.

Duties

  • Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
  • Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments with professionalism and precision.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental management software.
  • Manage sterilization of dental instruments and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Provide support in pediatric dentistry and orthodontic cases as needed.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns and ensuring a positive experience.

Requirements

  • Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state or regional regulations.
  • Prior experience working in a dental office setting, with proficiency in dental assisting procedures preferred.
  • Knowledge of Dentrix or other dental practice management software.
  • Familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
  • Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills combined with strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients and understanding of pediatric dental care principles is a plus.
