IMEC Gestion & Conseils is a firm specializing in project management, construction management, project control, and technical services in the energy, mining, and infrastructure sectors.
To support the realization of an important industrial project located in Granby, we are looking for a Project Technician who wishes to evolve within a multidisciplinary team and actively contribute to the success of a major project.
About the Position
The Project Technician will play a central role within the project team and actively participate in the technical coordination and daily follow-up of the project.
Under the supervision of the project manager, he/she will ensure the follow-up of technical documentation, the management of information requests (RFI), Red Line drawings, materials, and coordination between the various stakeholders of the project.
The incumbent will also contribute to the follow-up of work progress, the resolution of technical issues, and the maintenance of effective communication among team members.
This position represents an excellent opportunity for a technician wishing to develop his/her skills in industrial project management and evolve within a growing company.
Responsibilities
- Support the project manager and the project team in their daily activities.
- Ensure the management and follow-up of information requests (RFI).
- Follow-up of Red Line drawings and technical revisions.
- Ensure the follow-up of orders, deliveries, and material management.
- Coordinate exchanges between the various stakeholders of the project.
- Participate in the follow-up of work progress and the resolution of technical issues.
- Ensure the follow-up of technical documentation and project documents.
- Participate in coordination meetings and follow-up of actions.
- Contribute to the maintenance of schedules and the smooth running of work.
- Perform any other tasks related to the support of the project team.
- Desired Profile
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technician, Industrial Maintenance, or a related discipline.
- University training in engineering is an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial or construction environment.
- Good knowledge of industrial mechanics and piping.
- Good ability to read plans and technical drawings.
- Excellent organizational, coordination, and priority management skills.
- Team spirit, autonomy, and rigor.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Assets
- Experience on industrial projects.
- Knowledge of project management or construction management practices.
- Experience in project documentation management.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Procore, or other documentation management platforms (asset).
