Sheet Metal Worker – 60% Factory / 40% Site (Day Shift Position)

What does the job entail?

This will be a mix of factory tasks and site work (outside CCQ).

*In the factory:*

• Read and interpret technical plans and drawings
• Calculate and select the right materials
• Perform cutting, bending, and forming tasks
• Assemble and adjust metal pieces (spot welding, riveting, etc.)
• Check the quality of your work
• *On-site:*
• Take measurements
• Plan and prepare material and tool lists
• Install industrial components in process ventilation projects of various and custom designs
• Supervise an installation assistant
• Ensure good follow-up with clients

Desired Profile

• Hold a DEP in sheet metal fabrication or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of site experience is essential. Factory experience will be considered an asset.
• Be comfortable with metal forming and assembly techniques
• Know how to use various metal transformation equipment (CNC and conventional bending presses, sheet metal rollers, hydraulic shears, etc.)
• Have good physical abilities
• Be organized, methodical, and meticulous
• Be patient and customer-service oriented
• Have a good team spirit with good communication skills
• Demonstrate a good ability to manage problems and unexpected events
