Natural Environment Horticulturist — Restoration of Natural Environments
Join the Environment team, a dedicated and cohesive group, at the heart of an innovative, growing company that prioritizes environmental protection. You will participate in diverse field assignments focused on the restoration of various natural environments (wetlands, water bodies, wooded areas) and environmental protection. The Environment team often collaborates with the Civil Engineering team on large-scale mixed projects.
Main Functions
- Planting and seeding of native vegetation
- Maintenance and monitoring of installations
- Vegetal engineering works for riverbank stabilization
- Creation of wildlife habitats
- Control of invasive exotic plant species
Desired Profile
- Education in horticulture, environment, biology, or related field (DEP, DEC, or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in horticulture, landscape design, or fieldwork in the environment
- Interest in working in natural environments
- Good knowledge of Quebec's native plants (an asset)
- Excellent physical condition (outdoor work, carrying loads, variable conditions)
- Valid driver's license (mandatory: travel to job sites in Greater Montreal)
- Autonomy, diligence, stamina, and team spirit
Conditions
- Salary between $25 and $35/hour, adjusted according to experience and specific skills (certifications, experience, etc.)
- Full-time, 40 to 45 hours/week, from mid-April to late November
- Varied, concrete, and meaningful projects
- Mentorship by experienced professionals and possibility of seasonal return
