What will you contribute to the team?

  • Support and/or lead the negotiation of contract terms for cross-border agreements worth millions of dollars related to the sale of private aircraft for specialized missions worldwide.
  • Draft complex and specialized terms and conditions that account for both Bombardier's potential risks and our unique clients' needs.
  • Draft and negotiate various types of agreements such as aircraft purchase agreements, data usage licenses, technical services agreements, and aircraft modification agreements.
  • Contribute to aircraft delivery objectives by providing continuous commercial and/or legal support to internal and external clients.
  • Foster commercial success by anticipating risks and, in collaboration with internal stakeholders, developing creative and effective mitigation plans to protect the aircraft delivery schedule.
  • Inform senior management at Bombardier of unresolved contractual risks in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with clients, including regarding billing, in compliance with the purchase agreement and ensure appropriate follow-up.
  • Contribute to the improvement of procedures and governance activities related to the department's functions.
  • Have the opportunity to travel internationally.

How will you thrive in this role?

  • You have recognized experience or knowledge of the aerospace or defense industry, as well as knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs), is required.
  • You can combine your business sense and risk management skills.
  • You hold a bachelor's degree in law or business. Holding a Master of Business Administration (MBA) is an asset but not a requirement.
  • You have at least ten (10) years of experience working in a law firm or a large corporation.
  • You have at least ten (10) years of experience in commercial transaction negotiation and drafting commercial agreements.
  • You are a leader and are self-sufficient.
  • You possess strong interpersonal and persuasion skills.
  • You have strong writing skills in English.
  • You are able to work flexible, extended, or irregular hours aligned with business needs and are available for international travel with short notice.
  • You are bilingual - French and English. Proficiency in a third language is an asset but not a requirement.
