FRONT DESK AND INFORMATION OFFICER

The Celo, Côte-des-Neiges Community Recreation Centre, is looking for a front desk and information officer.
Under the supervision of the facilities coordinator and in collaboration with the programming coordinator, the person welcomes, communicates, orients, informs, and advises members about services and activities.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome people who come to the reception and direct them, if necessary, to activities or people to meet;
- Answer information requests and refer to other resources in the neighborhood according to directives and to the best of their ability;
- Handle phone reception at the reception desk;
- Take, filter, and forward messages according to directives;
- Handle email messages at the reception desk;
- Receive documents from activity and course staff and forward them to the concerned people according to directives;
- Transmit information between all actors in the Centre's life (volunteers, workers, participants, and Pavillon Bronfman) according to directives;
- Receive payments (sale of equipment, room rental, activity, etc.), prepare and give a receipt to the concerned member or client;
- Prepare the necessary documents for the launch of activity sessions;
- Close the cash drawer and balance the cash register;
- Perform transactions on the organization's software client accounts (account creation, registration, cancellation, and replacement of activities);
- Fill out attendance reports for the City;
- Keep their workspace in order;
- Communicate any issues related to key, room, and building management to their immediate supervisor;
- Prepare, record, and submit member complaints to the management;
- Collaborate with other departments of the organization;
- Perform any other related tasks requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or DEP in customer service in social services or equivalent;
- First aid certification in the workplace issued by a recognized company (an asset);
- 1 year of experience in a community setting;
- Be familiar with computers and the Windows and Microsoft Office environments;
- Be familiar with the Amilia registration software (an asset);
- Knowledge of Celo, organizations, and the Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood (an asset).

- Have initiative and excel in verbal and written communications;
- Have autonomy;
- Have honesty and discretion;
- Good knowledge of English (and other languages an asset);
- Have a sense of organization;
- Flexibility and adaptability;
- Ability to perform monetary transactions;

- Workplace: Côte-des-Neiges Community Recreation Centre (5347, ch. De la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, QC H3T 1Y4)
