• A typical day

More specifically, by joining the housekeeping team, your role will be to ensure the cleanliness of the hostel. In other words, to clean, maintain, and put in order the rooms, bathrooms, and other designated areas;

• Distribute, floor by floor, the linens needed to clean the rooms;
• Clean the rooms and common areas;
• Apply housekeeping procedures according to quality standards and safety protocols;
• Wash mirrors, dust furniture, make beds, etc.;
• Clean floors in rooms, corridors, and staircases;
• Empty trash bins, compost, and garbage cans;
• Maintain certain areas or equipment periodically;
• Manage lost items;
• Organize and classify cleaning supplies;
• Report repairs to be made on the appropriate documents;
• Inventory cleaning products;
• Perform any other related tasks.

Working conditions

• Wage: $19.80 per hour at the start and $20.80 per hour at the end of the probation period;
• Part-time - approximately 24 hours per week;
• Group insurance* and employer contribution of 5% to the Collective Retirement Savings Regime;
• Free or discounted stays in the collective's hostels;
• Flexible work environment;
• Work organization may vary according to the tourist season.
