Join the Atelier team, the internal agency and production house of the Sobeys Group across Canada. Atelier is looking for a Creative Assets Manager. In this role, you will ensure that a variety of creative assets (photos, images, animations, fonts, etc.) are accessible, of high quality, and well-organized to enable all Atelier teams to work effectively.

Your work will involve continuing the organization that has already begun, as well as contributing to the establishment of solid processes to support the growth of Atelier.

Here’s where you’ll focus

  • Ensure daily management and long-term governance of creative resources that serve multiple banners.
  • Manage and improve resource libraries and workflows in Box, Workfront, dDAM, and other internal systems to enhance consistency, adoption, and efficiency.
  • Support the implementation, evolution, and integrity of resource management tools and processes at the national level.
  • Develop and maintain naming conventions, metadata standards, taxonomy, tagging systems, and version control practices.
  • Ensure the quality of resources and data integrity by verifying file organization, metadata, access rights, and file name accuracy across all systems and teams.
  • Manage the purchase of photos and illustrations from stock image banks, including sourcing, licensing, renewals, and rights tracking.
  • Maintain a centralized inventory of fonts and font licenses used across all banners.
  • Ensure that file access permissions, user access rights, usage rights, and associated records are kept up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with teams responsible for creation, production, marketing, marketing technology, IT, procurement, and other services to harmonize resource-related processes.
  • Document, normalize, and improve asset management processes and governance practices.
  • Support the integration, training, and change management for users of asset management systems and processes.
  • Resolve issues related to resources, workflows, and systems, and collaborate with internal stakeholders or vendors to address them.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in digital asset management, advertising creative activities, production, or a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital asset management principles, including metadata, taxonomy, naming rules, version control, and governance.
  • Experience in managing usage rights, stock image banks, artwork purchases, font licenses, and associated compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with Box, Workfront, Edam, or similar asset and project management tools.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • A keen sense of customer service and the ability to collaborate effectively with different teams.
  • Ability to identify process gaps and implement concrete, scalable improvements.
  • Comfort working in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
  • Bilingual in both French and English, both orally and in writing (The person will need to work with peers from other provinces in the development, implementation, and deployment of tools and processes at the national level, and also provide support to Sobeys employees across Canada).
