Under the supervision of the deputy director of operations, the operator is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and optimization of all activities related to the contaminated water treatment process.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operation and Monitoring: Ensure the proper functioning of equipment related to the wastewater treatment process.
  • Quality Control: Verify operation parameters and make necessary adjustments continuously.
  • Customer Service: Welcome clients and collect necessary information to ensure compliance of operations.
  • Analyses: Conduct sampling and treatability tests. Quickly inform the operations supervisor if results are out of norms.
  • Logistics: Direct the unloading of arrivals at the site based on characteristics obtained during the treatability test.
  • Maintenance: Perform minor repairs on process equipment and ensure general plant maintenance. Participate in maintenance efforts during scheduled production stops.
  • Documentation: Document various parameters associated with soil/water treatment. Sample and make necessary adjustments to optimize treatment efficiency.
  • Health and Safety: Support management in ensuring strict adherence to health and safety at work guidelines.
  • Versatility: Perform any other related tasks required by the branch activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of secondary school diploma or preferred DEP;
  • Excellent physical condition (the job requires manual work).
  • Autonomy, sense of responsibility, and ability to work in a team with minimal supervision.
  • Assets: Relevant experience in the water treatment field or industrial environment, as well as laboratory knowledge.

Work Environment

  • Permanent full-time position, requiring no travel.
  • Stable work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
