Your mission

Reporting to the general management, you will sit at the decision-making table and exercise strategic leadership in occupational health and safety and human capital. Your main mandate: evolve our prevention culture, strengthen management practices, and support the growth of the organization by mobilizing talent.

Concretely, you will:

Globally

  • Supervise and oversee the development, deployment, and compliance with the department's programs, policies, and processes;
  • Manage a team of 3 OHS and HR advisors while focusing on skill development and autonomy;
  • Develop and control the department's budget;
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements;
  • Contribute to identifying training needs, approve the schedule, and ensure the deployment and follow-up of training;
  • Establish and analyze performance data and indicators;
  • Develop and deploy strategies and action plans;
  • Represent the company to various stakeholders and external partners.

OHS Leadership and Risk Management

  • Ensure proactive risk management and support the continuous improvement of prevention practices;
  • Supervise accident investigations, analysis, and follow-up of corrective actions;
  • Evolve the prevention culture at all levels of the organization and support managers in their leadership and accountability in OHS;
  • Participate in site visits, maintain regular on-site presence, and supervise the activities of external prevention partners;
  • Contribute to reducing costs associated with work-related injuries and CNESST claims.

Human Capital Leadership

  • Supervise recruitment, selection, and integration of new employees, as well as labor relations;
  • Develop, update, and administer remuneration, performance, and bonus programs;
  • Participate in succession planning and ensure skill development.
  • You may be our next OHS and Human Capital Director if you have:
  • A recognized ability to establish credibility, communicate, influence, mobilize, and support the management, managers, and multidisciplinary teams with on-site leadership in a construction environment;
  • A university degree in occupational health and safety, industrial relations, human resources, or any other relevant field or experience;
  • 10 years of experience in occupational health and safety, including at least 5 years in a management or leadership role;
  • In-depth knowledge of laws, regulations, and standards related to work and occupational health and safety;
  • Ability to work proactively in a constantly evolving environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
  • Valid driver's license;
  • Construction ASP card.
